Bruce A. Cook
Mediator and Personal Injury Lawyer
Born and raised: Simcoe, Ontario.
Practiced law for: 20 years in the City of Hamilton.
Education: Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in 1994.
Law degree from the University of Manitoba in 1998.
Called to the Bar in 2000.
Bruce has focused on civil litigation throughout his career. Having spent the majority of it practicing insurance law, he uses his decade as a partner at a major insurance defence firm to his client’s advantage. As a defence lawyer he has acted for insurers and/or the insureds in tort, statutory accident benefit cases and long-term disability cases.
Bruce has appeared at all levels of Ontario court including the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal and in 2015, he completed the Mediating Disputes Program, Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. Also, Bruce is a former chair of the Lawyers’ Legacy for Children, the Ray Harris Fund and a former President of the Hamilton Lawyers’ Club.
Bruce is a well-rounded legal professional whose acumen is only surpassed by the concern and care he takes as both a mediator and as counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury, accident benefits, and long-term disability matters.
K. Renee Reynolds

Born and raised: Grimsby, Ontario
Practiced Law for: Over 20 years.
Education: Bachelor of Business Administration Degree at Acadia University.
Law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 2000.
Called to the Bar in 2002.
Renee began her career as a defence insurer litigator. As such, she has a unique and varied perspective and has helped countless clients and their families with assistance accessing accident benefits, obtaining out of court settlements against at-fault parties, and securing long-term disability insurance. Her area of practice is plaintiff personal injury, working exclusively on behalf of those injured and their families.
Renee has appeared as Counsel before many levels of the Ontario Courts and has extensive experience advocating before various boards and tribunals. Renee is Past Chair of the Lawyers’ Legacy for Children Fund and Past President of the Hamilton Lawyers’ Club. She is also currently a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, The Hamilton Law Association, The Ontario Bar Association and the Medical-Legal Society.
When Renee is not fiercely advocating for her clients, she travels the world and spends as much time as humanly possible with her three children, Payton, Avery and Mitchell.
