If you suspect you’re not getting paid enough in your severance package, we can help!
If your employer dismisses you or significantly reduces your job responsibilities without proper notice, you may be entitled to payment in lieu of notice. Ontario has very clear guidelines about how much notice employers must give their employees based on the length of time an employee has worked for a company.
We can guide you to answers if you suspect you might be owed compensation in lieu of notice.
Employers will often offer employees a severance package that is at or just above Ontario’s common law minimum standards. Almost always, you are entitled to a severance package that is greater than what has been offered to you, even if the offer is above minimum standards. We can help you understand what is a fair and reasonable compensation package and negotiate that for you so that you receive what you deserve.
